Poison builds are the most consistent for Ascension. Catalyst triples poison — getting two Catalysts means 9x poison multiplier. Always take Noxious Fumes as your first power.
⚡ Defect
The Defect is an orb-based character with 75 HP. He channels lightning, frost, and plasma orbs to deal damage, block, and generate energy. The most complex character with the highest skill ceiling.

Enter Wrath only when you can kill or have enough block. The 2x damage taken is deadly against multi-hit enemies. Rushdown is your best friend for infinite stance dancing.
📋 General Character Tips
- Always remove Strikes before Defends (except Silent)
- Prioritize campfire upgrades over resting in Act 1
- Take elite fights in Act 1 for relics — you need the power spike
- Don't take every card offered — a thin deck is better than a thick deck
- Shop priority: Remove card > Rare relic > Key card > Potion
- Aim for 25-35 cards in final deck (excluding curses)
